Sterling Success In The US

It’s a popular conversation these days about how well Sterling is doing against the dollar, but it’s not just in the realms of currency where Sterling is making it’s mark in the United States.
Minivator has just announced the promotion of Mark Blomfield, VP & General Manager of their North American operation Sterling Stairlifts to President of the same.
The title was previously held  by Minivator Group MD Mike Lord who told THIIS “I have have been the President of Sterling Stairlifts since August 2004.  However, being some 3,000 miles away from the Sterling office in Pennsylvania does present some challenges!”
It isn’t just for geopgraphical reasons that Mike has relinquished the role to Mark. Mike went on to tell us “I am finding that I am spending less and less time getting involved with the operational running of Sterling as each month goes by. Since the inception of Sterling in 2003, Mark has done a fantastic job in establishing the business in the US and has continually grown both sales and profitability over the last 3½ years.  This year revenues are on target to be over four times that which Sterling’s first full year of trading, 2004, produced.
Mark’s promotion to President is not only well deserved but also marks the coming of age of the business.  Sterling makes a valuable contribution to the Minivator Group and is crucial to its future success.  This promotion, in addition to the high regard in which Mark is held in the US marketplace, will give him the extra stature he will require to allow him and his expanding team to keep Sterling going from strength to strength in the US Market.”
