Minivator’s Offset Footplate - Thursday, January 17th, 2008

Minivator’s Offset Footplate has been designed to allow the Minivator 2000 Curved Stairlift to fit into more staircases than ever before. It is particulary useful for staircases where a fan staircase is combined with a low bulk head.

The offset footplate has been specially designed for use in these circumstances and it allows the height of the track to be reduced significantly by changing the position of the footplate. As the track height is reduced the offset Footplate can also offer increased bulkhead clearances.

Further to this, this footplate can also fit into narrower staircases, again allowing a stairlift to be installed where a standard unit would not fit.

The Minivator Auto Platform – for use with the Minivator 1000 Straight Stairlift - Thursday, January 17th, 2008

Minivator’s Auto Platform is the first fully automated, straight solution to overcome the problems posed by staircases with a single 90° turn and one or two subsequent stairs to the top landing.  Whilst a stairlift with a curved track is the ultimate solution for such configurations, they can sometimes be space or cost prohibitive. A platform offers a cheaper alternative by bridging the gap between the final parked position of the stairlift and the landing.
This fully automatic design is a simple solution for users: the stairlift is used as normal with no need to worry about operation of the platform.
Each platform is made to measure. A survey of the staircase is taken using Minivator’s eSurvey system; this provides an accurate 3D plan of the staircase around which the platform is designed. The platform is pre-manufactured to provide an excellent fit whilst removing the need for on site
cutting.
