The British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA)

The BHTA is the UK's longest established healthcare trades association, its member companies agree to abide by a Code of Practice that is designed to give consumers peace of mind that suppliers are regulated by the body. The BHTA will act as an ombudsman for complaints against member companies and has the power to revoke membership in the event that their conduct is not deemed acceptable.

The BHTA Code of Practice has been approved by Office of Fair Trading (OFT) under the Consumer Codes Approval Scheme, this approval is only available to bodies who can prove their code of conduct has been proved to be effective when it comes o safeguarding and promoting the interests of consumers beyond the basic requirements of the law.

The Association of Charitable Officers (ACO)

The ACO exists to raise the profile of benevolent charities whilst supporting those working in the charitable field.
