Vertical platform lifts can have up to 5 stops

Can vertical Platform lifts be used outdoors?
Yes, vertical platform lifts can be used outdoors either with or without an enclosure.

How much space does a vertical platform lift take up?
Vertical platform lifts have a 'footprint' of approximately 2.3m2

Do I need a pit for a Vertical Platform Lift?
Some Vertical lifts can be installed without a pit, when required the depth of pit will vary with the lift. In some circumstance the pay may only need to be 203mm deep.

What power supply does a vertical platform lift require?
Our vertical platform lifts require a 230V/50Hz single phase 15 amp dedicated supply.

Will I need a ramp up to the lift?
You need only consider this if the floor cannot take a full pit. It may be possible to have a small pit combined with a small ramp as an option to save floor space. However some vertical non enclosed lifts have an integral ramp.

Can lifts be fitted externally to the building?
Yes, as a free standing unit for access to the building entrances or fitted within an external shaft to access differing floor levels.

Can I fit a vertical lift into an existing lift shaft?
Yes we have two options, the 4000 for residential installations and the 9000EPL for commercial installations.

How much headroom do I need for a Vertical Platform Lift?
The Minivator 4000 and 9000 booth require 2400mm the Minivator 9000EPL requires 2600mm

How often a vertical Platform lift be serviced?
If the lift is used frequently we recommend servicing up to 4 times per year. For average use twice per year should be sufficient.

What is the supply lead time?
The average for a vertical lift is 6 - 8 weeks from approved drawings.

Do your vertical platform wheelchair lifts meet DDA recommendations?
Yes they do as well as complying with the various standards that apply to the different types of lifts supplied.

No, our site surveys are free of charge.
